Dear Parents, as mentioned before the break-we have District sports-year 6 and year 4, 4 Boys and 4 Girls for each team, and Boys and Girls yr. 6.Cricket to prepare for this week.
I will take cricket for any year 6 Boys and Girls, who think they are good enough, Tomorrow, after school till 5.00 pm-on field or the playground if needed! All players must be able to bowl over-arm-the school team will probably consist mostly of Boys, though, there is a cricket league event, when I hope to take the year 6 Girls team-as they missed their competition due to Tower Wood trip.If weather is a problem, I will take the teams at Lunchtime.
The District sports, Yr.6 consists of; 600 M run/80 M sprint/ Howler throw/Long Jump- 4 Boys and 4 Girls.
Yr. 4 consists of; 400 M run/60 M sprint/ mini-Howler throw/Long jump- 4 Boys and 4 Girls.
I can select the year 4 and 6 throwers and long jumpers from P.E. results/indoor athletics team, and know the distance runners-Cross country and P.E. I will do the sprints in P.E. and choose the best 8 in each year to train/trial on Thursday after school till 5.00 pm.-could year 3-4-5 bring in Trainers for P.E.
We have the year 5 Triathlon-for all year 5 pupils who wish to attend-60 M swim-1 lap of Coronation Park-Bike-1 lap running on foot, letters next week.
