Children throughout the school will be taking part in an 'Art Afternoon' on Monday 19th June. This will be a chance for each child to create a 'summer' themed piece of artwork, which will be displayed at the St Anne's Summer Arts Festival on Wednesday 21st June (see other message on the message board for more details).
Pupils will be led by the class teacher, but encouraged to think creatively and work independently also. We hope it will be a fun afternoon for the children, where they will get to engage in a piece of art work with a little more depth than usual.
We would greatly appreciate your help in preparing art work ready for display in our art gallery, as well as help in class working with the children. Our aim would be to place any helpers in the year group above, so that parents have the chance to see what their children will be experiencing next year, nonetheless it will also be necessary to distribute helpers evenly across the school.
If any parents or carers would like to help in school on Monday 19th June from 1.30pm - 3.30pm there will be a register which you can sign, in the school office, from Thursday morning. Please sign up by Friday 9th June, so that helpers can be informed of their allocated class prior to the day.
Thank you in advance for your ongoing support - we really do appreciate it!
