Dear Parents,
The end of term is drawing to a close very quickly and I know it is a very busy time both at home and in school. So we wanted to put some important dates and information together for you to help things run smoothly for the remainder of the school year.
Last Friday (7th) was the last time that we will issue Maths, English and spelling homework. Please send the Homework books in this week so we can mark them up to date. The last spelling quiz will be on Friday, 14th, so please send in the spelling books for the final time.
We collected the home reading books on Friday, 7th so that we can prepare the reading awards for our special reading assemblies this week and next. Please check that we have received the white Home School Reading Record book so that we can count the number of books that your child has read, and give them their well-deserved certificate.
A huge thank you for your help in supplying kit for Forest School! Class 6 had their final session on Wednesday, 12th. It was great fun!
We would also like to thank you for sharing in our Collective Worship this morning. We hope you enjoyed our 'Happy Memories' from Year 2. We really appreciate your support.
PE sessions will continue until the final Tuesday of the term. We will also be having Sports Day on the morning of Wednesday, 19th. The children will come in to school in their uniform, and then get changed into their PE kits for the morning.
On Thursday, 20th July we are going to have our end of topic/ end of year celebration with the children. Because we have been working on the topic 'Buckets and Spades' we thought that it would be nice to have a 'beach themed' party. The children do not need to bring anything into school, but they can come in to school in t-shirts and shorts. Fingers crossed for some 'beach' weather!!
Finally, we would like to thank you for your continued help and support throughout this year. We have enjoyed a fabulous hard working and fun year with your wonderful children. Enjoy your summer break.
