Dear Parents and Carers
The Y4 children are having a special mass on Friday, 30th June at 9.30am in St Anne's Church to celebrate reaching a special stage in their sacramental journey. The children from Years 3, 5 and 6 will be attending the mass to celebrate this important step in faith with their Y4 friends.
You are very welcome to join us in church; however, if you are available to accompany the classes over to church from school, that would be a great help. If possible. please indicate to your child's class teacher if you are able to help him/her walk their class over. We will begin to leave school from the Junior building at approx 9.10am.
In order to make the day special, the children would like to give something back to the wider community. So we have arranged for the whole school to come into school on Friday in their 'own clothes' for a small donation of 50p. With the money, the Year 4 have asked if it can be donated to the charity 'Porridge and Rice', a charity close to the heart of our school. It is a wonderful organisation that provides student feeding programmes and health education for school children in Nairobi. There is a link to their website on the weekly newsletter. A very worthy cause, I'm sure you'll agree.
Many thanks for your continued help and support at this very busy time.
Mrs Preston
